This year’s CBIA’s annual Parade of Homes drew a record number of visitors. The event, which was held Nov. 1 through Nov. 18, offered the public new ideas from model homes located in a number of communities throughout Collier County and south Lee County. The parade showcased some of the most luxurious and beautiful homes on the market, as well as the latest innovations in interior design.
CBIA’s Parade Web site experienced more than 250,800 hits during the parade, nearly 40,000 more hits than in 2006. Some of the models had more than 400 viewers in one weekend, doubling past records.
This year judging was turned over to the people who visited the models. Parade-goers were encouraged to visit the Parade of Homes Web site to cast their votes on four categories: Best Outdoor Living/Landscaping; Best Curb Appeal; Best Floor Plan; and Best Overall Model.
Awards were given on three levels for each category: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Presentations were made to the winners on Dec. 4 at the CBIA-SMC Holiday Mixer at Naples Bay Resort.
Bordeaux Homes by Vision Builders’ model, Leonardo Fiore at Mediterra, swept the awards by winning the Platinum in each of the four categories.
Bordeaux Homes by Vision Builders also won the Gold Award on Peoples’ Choice in all four categories for the Shiraz model at TwinEagles.
Harbourside Custom Homes was honored with two Silver Awards for Best Overall Model and Best Curb Appeal for its Grande Tuscano model at Mediterra.
London Bay Homes took home two Silver Awards for Best Outdoor Living/Landscaping and Best Floor Plan for the Abriana model at Mediterra.
